UPDATE

I have been in contact with a former SFPD detective several times over the past many months, and having spent hours going back and forth we have agreed (much to my consternation I might add) that it appears that The Presidio Heights murder in the Zodiac Killer case, might not have been committed by the Zodiac Killer, but was probably committed by my suspect in the DB Cooper case.

This week Investigation Discovery is airing a two hour special called “The Myth of the Zodiac” which is a theory that the Zodiac Killer never existed, it was a joke that had several copy cats. Also in October “ID” is airing a special that claims to have evidence that the DB Cooper hijacking was a large scale publicity stunt planned by Boeing and Northwest Orient Airlines.
