According to PBS, the period between the late 1920s and the early 1950s is considered the golden age of radio. Television hadn’t yet been invented, and millions of listeners tuned in for comedies, dramas, variety shows, game shows, and to hear the music of the day. This golden age brought with it a bunch of radio stations including WGY from Schenectady, New York.
