Mr Darrell Brooks Jr, sovereign citizen, is on Court TV right now making his opening statement in his defense and man is it ever a shitshow. If I had taken bets on whether he would cry during it a couple of days ago, I’d be wealthy right now. He’s looked disingenuous and self-serving all through this nonsensical thing, but this takes the cake. Only today he opened the door for what may prove to be the single worst piece of evidence against him to be published and put on record, and now this childish ridiculous display.
He begins direct examination of his own witnesses today, and he’s already angry that the prosecution, who graciously and unnecessarily contacted his witnesses for him, haven’t told him what order his witnesses would be appearing in although he had refused to tell the State in what order he wanted to call them. I can’t wait to see this. I predict total meltdown when the State begins cross examination.
