Containing the hits 'Under the Bridge' and 'Give It Away', the album which was produced by Rick Rubin, propelled the band into worldwide popularity and critical acclaim. Uncomfortable with fame, John Frusciante quit the band during its 1992 tour, he rejoined in 1998.
